1.3.3 Fun excercises for gloomy days

Emotional work is usually simple but sometimes hard. Whether you are after a demanding emotional healing, or your spirit is just down, these exercises will help you flip your mood into joy, silliness, and creativity — while keeping your mind connected to your goal.

1. The Ridiculous Future Self Sketch

  • Grab a pen and draw your “future you” after your goal is achieved — but make it outrageously exaggerated.

  • Add silly details: a giant crown made of cupcakes, your dream car shaped like a banana, or a pet parrot that gives you motivational speeches.

  • Art skills not required — stick figures win bonus points.

2. One-Minute “Oscar Speech”

  • Stand up, hold an imaginary microphone, and thank everyone for helping you reach your goal — including your childhood teddy bear, the person who invented coffee, and your own left foot.

  • Go over-the-top. Pretend it’s broadcast worldwide.

3. The Goal Achievement Dance

  • Put on an upbeat song and dance for 30–60 seconds as if your goal is already DONE.

  • Bonus points if the moves are so silly you make yourself laugh.

  • (Optional: keep a private video of it to watch on low-energy days.)

4. Fortune Cookie From the Future

  • Write three funny “fortunes” your future self might send you.

  • Example:
“Your coffee will be so good, strangers will follow the smell.”
“You will trip… but into an opportunity.”

5. Goal Mascot Challenge

  • Look around the room and pick the first random object you see.

  • Give it a name and a personality, and declare it your “Goal Mascot.”

  • Example: “Sir Stapleton, Knight of Consistency” or “Captain Sock, Keeper of Warm Toes and Warm Dreams.”

  • Keep it nearby for moral support.

6. The “Future Text” Trick

  • Take your phone and send yourself a text from your future self congratulating you on your achievement.

  • Make it short, dramatic, and slightly ridiculous.

  • Example: “OMG. You did it. The llama parade was a huge hit. See you at the after-party.”Emotio
